100 pcs / pack Size: 150 x 200 / 40 mm Resealable stand-up pouch with strong mechanical protection, without aroma barrier.
Full description
The 150 × 200/40 mm transparent stand-up press-to-close pouch offers upright display and resealable use while keeping the product visible. The gusset helps the pack hold its shape on a shelf or counter, while the press-to-close zip makes it easier to handle the contents left after opening. This version is chosen mainly for mechanical protection and a transparent appearance, for products with moderate aroma barrier requirements. We determine the right pack size based on the actual fill.
Size, gusset and fill quantity
With the 150 × 200/40 mm design, the usable internal space is shaped by the gusset, the seal edges and the position of the zip together. The stated size alone does not define a fill weight, because the density and piece size of the product can require different amounts of space. During a trial fill we check how the contents settle in the lower part, what shape the front panel takes and how much room is left around the top closure. The upright appearance should be assessed with the planned portion.
A resealable pack for the customer
The press-to-close zip is an advantage when the contents are not all taken out of the pack at once. The top of the pouch can be closed again, so the remaining fill can be kept in its own pack under conditions suited to the product. Free space must be left for the zip to be easy to use, and the profiles must be kept clean. The zip should be closed across its full width, avoiding pieces getting caught between the profiles. A partly emptied pack takes a different shape from a full one, so it is worth testing dispensing and access to the zip in this state too.
Mechanical protection and first seal
The film and the side seals play a role in handling and transporting the product. For the right sizing we also take into account the shape of the fill, any protruding parts and the load that builds up in the outer carton. For packing in-house, an impulse sealer can also be used, with settings suited to the chosen pouch. The first seal after filling and the zip used by the consumer must be positioned in coordination with each other. The top sealing area should stay clean and free, and the fill should not strain the pouch. Handling after opening should be defined based on the characteristics of the product.
A visible product on an upright display
Transparent packaging shows the shape and colour of the contents, and later the remaining quantity can also be followed. With a custom logo and artwork, the pouch can be adapted to your brand identity. When defining the print area, the part intended for showing the product, the area around the zip and the folds of the gusset must all be taken into account. We design important text to sit where it is easy to read on the upright pack. The colour of the fill affects contrast, so we assess the artwork on a filled pouch.
When choosing the 150 × 200/40 mm transparent stand-up press-to-close pouch, we align the required portion, the upright appearance and the needs of repeated use. A size and zip design checked with the product helps create a pack that is easy to handle both during packing and for the customer.
