Transparent corner-spout pouch
Transparent, hot-fill spouted pouch suitable for both manual filling and automatic filling systems.
Full description
The transparent corner-spout pouch is a liquid pack in which the spout is placed at the top corner of the pack. Pouring from the corner offers a well-designed way of using the pack, while the transparent pouch shows the contents. The design can be agreed in a stand-up or a flat version, according to the pack size and intended use. When choosing, besides the shape of the pouch, the behaviour of the liquid and the connection to the filling equipment are also decisive.
Pouring from the corner
With a corner spout, the contents can be directed towards the opening by tilting the pouch. The right opening size must be chosen to suit the flow properties of the liquid and the expected dispensing. In use, it also matters how the full and the partly emptied pack can be held, and where the spout points. These aspects are best checked on a sample filled with product. The cap allows resealing, and the associated usage and storage instructions must be given for the packed product.
Stand-up or flat pack format
For packs between 0.2 and 1 litre, the format can be chosen to suit the intended use. In the stand-up version, upright display and the size of the pack base play a role; with a flat pouch, storage and the arrangement of the outer packaging should be matched to it. The pouch size needed for the right capacity is also influenced by the fill allowance and the position of the cap. Before finalising, it can be checked whether the pack is easy to handle with the desired quantity and fits the transport arrangement properly. It is advisable to choose the outer carton size together with the space required by the spout.
Alignment with the filling technology
The spout can be matched to manual or machine filling. The connection between the filling head and the spout, the product flow and the closing of the cap must be planned together. Foaming or thick products, or products filled at different temperatures, can involve different practical conditions. A pouch can only be chosen for hot filling based on the suitability of the agreed material structure and closure. A real packing trial helps check filling, sealing and how the finished pack behaves in later storage.
Visible contents, the right material
The transparent surface also shows the colour of the liquid and the fill level, which can be an important part of the pack's appearance. We agree the material structure according to aroma protection and other product protection requirements. The selection requires knowledge of the composition of the liquid, the storage conditions and the intended use. The film and the spout closure are both in contact with the product, so their suitability must be assessed for the same packaging task.
For a transparent corner-spout pouch, we need the desired net capacity, the characteristics of the liquid and the filling conditions. It is also worth telling us whether you would like an upright display or a flat pack format. On this basis, at Kollár Pakk we refine the position of the spout, the pouch structure and the related details of the packaging process.
