Transparent front / gold back press-to-close pouch
Decorative pouch with a transparent front and a gold back that sets off the packed product and can be conveniently resealed after opening.
Full description
The transparent front / gold back press-to-close pouch gives the visible product a gold background and offers packaging that can be conveniently designed for repeated use. The pillow format suits larger pack sizes stored lying flat, and the resealable top serves handling between portions. The character of the gold colour should be developed together with the appearance of the contents. We make the right material selection based on the protection requirements of the product.
A gold tone in the brand's appearance
The gold back is a prominent element of the pack, so the front does not need to be completely filled with artwork. The visible product itself can communicate important qualities: it can show the shape of the pieces, the look of the composition or the colour palette. The chosen background must be in harmony with this. The ratio between pouch and contents should be designed so that the gold surface does not disappear completely, while the product remains easily recognisable. A filled sample pack provides a more reliable basis for assessing the visual design than the empty pouch alone.
The space required for resealing
With larger pack sizes, it can be important for the buyer that the product remains in its own pack after several portions have been taken out. The press-to-close closure supports this way of handling. We determine the fill height together with the free space below the closure, so that the opening is easily accessible. Each time the pack is resealed, the profiles must be pressed together across their full width, and product pieces getting between them must be avoided. The method of dispensing also matters: contents in pieces taken out by hand require a different movement from contents that are poured, so it is advisable to adapt the width of the pouch to this as well.
Front and packaging process
The protective properties of the transparent side can be chosen to suit the product. Both a design intended primarily for mechanical protection and a suitable aroma barrier design can be considered. If vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging is needed, we examine the aroma barrier front together with the back, the seal and the equipment used. The process can be designed for the specific complete pack. After opening, the press-to-close closure closes the opening; it does not restore the previous packaging atmosphere. In addition to the gold background, the light transmission of the transparent front must also be taken into account when choosing the contents.
Printing on the usable surfaces
The pouch can also be made with your own company logo and artwork. The gold base and the transparent area give different contrasts, so we define the position of the lettering based on the appearance of the entire pack. The format without a gusset is designed for flat display, which must also be followed in the reading direction and the placement of the product name. The area around the closure, the seals and the opening point can limit the usable surface. Important markings should be placed where the folds of the pouch and the movement of the contents interfere less with legibility.
A product sample, the desired portion and the brand's graphic concept provide the basis for designing the gold-backed press-to-close pouch. By coordinating these, the pack can serve both its visible appearance at the point of sale and subsequent repeated use.
