Transparent front / silver back press-to-close pouch
Decorative pouch with a transparent front and a silver back that sets off the packed product and can be conveniently resealed after opening.
Full description
The transparent front / silver back press-to-close pouch complements the visible product with a silver background and a resealable opening. The pillow format, which can be designed for larger pack sizes used in several portions, is suitable for placement lying flat. The buyer can see the contents through the transparent side, and the press-to-close closure helps with handling after opening. We choose the protective properties of the front and the size of the pouch to suit the nature of the product.
Highlighting the contents with a silver surface
The silver back gives the packed goods a distinct visual base. The appearance is shaped by the interplay between the colour of the product and the silver surface, so the design should be tested with the real contents. The right width and fill quantity can ensure that the contents remain easily recognisable and that the background also comes through. The surface of the pack visible from the front is open to light, which we take into account when selecting the material. We assess the silver back primarily as part of the appearance; for light-sensitive contents, the overall protection task requires separate consultation.
Larger pack size, repeated access
The press-to-close closure allows the remaining product to stay in its own pack after a portion has been taken from the pouch. Convenient use of the closure requires enough space at the top, so in addition to the volume of the contents, it is worth thinking through the hand movement and the method of dispensing. The closure line must be kept clean, and the profiles must be pressed together from one edge to the other. When designing the size, we also look at how the pouch behaves when partly empty, because in daily use this is just as important as the appearance of the first, full pack.
Aroma barrier version for specific processes
The front can be made from a material with a more moderate aroma barrier that mainly provides mechanical protection, or with a suitable aroma barrier structure. If the entire pouch is designed for the application, vacuum packaging and modified atmosphere processes can also be planned. For the decision, we examine the properties of the contents, the front and back, the closure and the packaging equipment together. The press-to-close closure serves to reseal the pack after opening, so using it does not restore the previous vacuum or modified atmosphere. The storage instructions for the product must also be adapted to this situation of use.
Branding for the flat pack
A custom logo and artwork can link the transparent front and the silver back into a common appearance. The pouch has no gusset, so we plan the reading direction of the print based on flat display. The clear area of the front can show the contents, while another area can be designated for more detailed information. Care must be taken with the space required around the press-to-close closure and at the seal edges. It is advisable to check on both the filled and the partly used pouch that important markings remain easy to recognise.
We agree the design of the silver-backed press-to-close pouch based on the product and its expected use. Knowing the desired portion, the packaging method used and the graphic concept, the visible contents and resealability can form a coherent packaging solution.
