Full description

The transparent front / paper back stand-up press-to-close pouch shows the product while offering a brown paper surface for your branding. The transparent front gives a view of the contents, and the paper back provides a natural-looking background for the pack. The upright shape helps with shelf display, and the press-to-close zip with repeated use. It is worth considering for packs where the customer wants to see what they are choosing, while the paper look is also part of the brand.

One design for two different surfaces

Paper and transparent film play different roles in presenting the pack. The clear part of the front can show the grain size or chunkiness of the product, while the detailed information can be placed on the back. For the brown surface, it is advisable to choose a font size and contrast that remain legible in the position of the filled pouch. The visual effect is best designed with the real product, because the colour and height of the fill also determine the overall impression of the transparent side.

Aroma protection according to the contents

The front film can be made in a medium aroma barrier version or a version providing higher protection. The choice is guided by the need to preserve aromas, the fat content, the moisture content and the expected storage conditions. If vacuum or modified atmosphere filling is required, this must be indicated when agreeing the material, because the entire pouch structure and the seal must also be suitable for it. The look of the paper exterior alone does not determine the protective performance of the pack.

A well-proportioned pack on the shelf

The variants include 150 × 200/35, 180 × 250/40 and 200 × 300/40 mm pouches, with a thickness of 100 microns. The size designation also includes the gusset size, which shapes the depth of the pack when filled. Alongside the planned fill weight, the volume of the product must be taken into account, and free space must be left for handling the top section. A correctly sized gusset and fill level help give the different pack sizes of a product range a tidy upright shape.

Resealing and your own print

The press-to-close zip is used to close the opened pouch; we match the first seal to the filling process. The zip profiles and the sealing band must be kept free of product, making both the packing operation and later use more predictable. Pouches printed with your own artwork can also be made. We design the print position, the look of the paper side and the proportion of the transparent area together, ensuring adequate space for the mandatory product markings as well. By matching the position of the title and brand mark to the filled pouch, surfaces of different materials can create a tidy, easy-to-read pack design.

If you would like a transparent front / paper back pouch, please send us the details of the product to be filled and your intended pack size. At Kollár Pakk we refine the design based on a sample fill, the protection requirements and the artwork. The result can be a stand-up press-to-close pack in which the visible contents and the brown paper surface complement each other.
