Transparent front / coloured back stand-up press-to-close pouch
Decorative pouch with a transparent front and a printed back in a colour of your choice that sets off the packed product; stands on the shelf and can be resealed.
Full description
The transparent front / coloured back stand-up press-to-close pouch highlights the product against a background matched to your brand. The customer can see the contents through the front panel, while the coloured back gives the packaging a distinctive character. The stand-up format can be designed for upright display, and the press-to-close zip offers convenient handling for products used in several portions. The design centres on coordinating the contents, the colour and the pack size.
A product range identified by colour
The colour of the back can help distinguish flavours, product variants or intended uses. It works best when the colour system is consistent and the text also clearly names the contents. Because of the transparent front, the product's own colour is also part of the look, so the background should not be finalised on an empty pouch. A filled sample can confirm whether the chosen shade brings out the product and whether the important information next to it is easy to read. Using colour coding together with the product name gives the customer several reference points for their choice.
Transparent front, chosen protection
Films with different aroma barrier properties can be chosen for the front of the pouch. The decision between the moderate and the enhanced aroma protection version should be guided by the composition and storage needs of the product. The coloured back alone does not determine the light or gas protection of the whole pack. For modified atmosphere or vacuum packaging, we agree a suitable structure and seal separately, taking into account the filling process and the available equipment.
A pack size for usage habits
When choosing the width, height and gusset depth, besides the volume of the fill it is also worth considering how the customer will dispense the product. A different opening size may be convenient for small granules, larger pieces and a light, loose fill. Enough space must be left for the first seal above the zip, and no product residue should get near the zip. Testing the filled pouch is a useful check of both how it stands on the shelf and how practical it is to use.
Artwork and background together
The pouch can also be printed with your own artwork, so the colour of the back and the print can shape the brand's look together. It is advisable to leave as much of the front surface clear as is needed to present the product properly. When placing the detailed markings, attention must be paid to the fold of the gusset, the position of the zip and the visible parts of the upright pack. A well-structured graphic system can also be transferred to different pack sizes, but text sizes and proportions must be checked for each pouch size.
For the design, we need the product name, the desired fill weight, your colour concept and the packaging method. On this basis we agree the design of the back, the front film and the artwork. In this way, the transparent front / coloured back stand-up pouch can become an easily recognisable pack for your range, sized for the product.
