Silver pillow pouch

The silver pillow pouch combines an aroma and moisture barrier design with a surface that also shields the product from light. Its opaque surface is advantageous when reducing exposure to light is also a consideration in packing the product, or when the sales concept is built on the pack's artwork. The flat pouch format can be designed for smaller pack sizes and flat placement. We select the right version based on the properties of the contents, the sealing and the storage method.

Packaging shielded from light

The silver version hides the contents, so the pack does not communicate through the direct appearance of the product. This allows the brand, the product name and artwork referring to its use to define the appearance. For light-sensitive goods, in addition to choosing the material structure, we also review the design of the entire pack. In terms of protection, the film, the seals and any other packaging elements count together. The silver colour alone does not replace the technical consultation required for the given contents.

Designed to preserve aromas and texture

The aroma and moisture barrier design of the pouch can be useful for products whose quality is affected by the loss of aromas or a change in moisture content. We treat these requirements separately in the selection: protection against external humidity is a different requirement from retaining the contents' own moisture. The structure required can be determined based on the ingredients, the condition before packing and the planned storage environment. The shelf life of the finished product must be assessed together with the packaging process as a whole, including sealing and temperature conditions.

Pillow format for single opening

The pouch sealed on two or three sides is made without a gusset and without a press-to-close closure. It is therefore advisable to pack the product in a portion that matches the expected use. We agree the size based on the volume and shape of the contents, leaving suitable room for sealing after filling. The finished pack is usually placed lying flat, so the orientation of the text and the surface visible on the shelf are already part of the design. If several pieces go into one outer carton, the size of the carton and the arrangement of the packs also affect handling and mechanical load.

Silver surface with custom artwork

With a logo and printed artwork, the pouch can be adapted to the brand's presentation. With opaque packaging, it is particularly important that the buyer can clearly recognise the product and the variant from the information on the outside. The artwork should be checked on the basis of the seal edges, the opening point and the contours of the filled pack. The product name and essential markings should be placed in an area that remains legible on the finished pouch. For a product family, a uniform layout and clearly distinguishable variant marking together help the buyer choose.
