Impulse sealer 300 with cutter
Impulse pouch sealer with trimming cutter.
Full description
The 300 impulse sealer with cutter lets you seal the pouch and trim the excess film above the seal at a single packing station. It can be used for manual packaging tasks where the product does not require vacuum and a neat top pouch edge is part of the expected appearance. The machine works with suitably heat-sealable film. The cutter design can be particularly useful if the material allowance left for filling has to be trimmed back after sealing.
Sealing and a trimmed top edge
The film is cut above the seal, so coordinating the finished seam with the cutting position is important. The pouch must be prepared so that the contents stay a safe distance from the sealing area. Removing the excess material produces a more even top section, while the necessary allowance above the seam is retained. When designing the pack, also consider how the customer will open the pouch. It is worth testing the finished appearance with the actual contents.
Settings matched to the film
The sealing time, adjustable by potentiometer, allows the seal to be matched to the chosen packaging material. The required setting is influenced by the structure and thickness of the film and the layers placed on top of each other at the seal. Production work should be preceded by a test seal and a check of the cooled seam. The sealing time alone does not make every material suitable: the pouch must have a suitable sealable surface in the first place. The coordination of machine and film determines the sealing result.
A well-organised manual packing station
The 300 version with cutter can be integrated into a simple workflow for sealing smaller quantities of products. Filling the pouch, smoothing its mouth, sealing it and trimming the excess can be organised in sequence. It is worth setting up a separate collection point for the trimmed film pieces so that they do not end up among the finished packs. There should also be enough work surface for moving the product and handing over the finished pouch. Daily output is influenced not only by the machine but also by the speed of dosing and manual preparation.
Condition of the seal and the cutter
The condition of the Teflon-coated sealing wire surface and proper operation of the cutter are both part of consistent packaging. Dust, moisture or creases left in the sealing area can impair seam quality. When using the cutter, follow the operating routine of the machine, and carry out cleaning and component checks regularly. We agree the specific seal width and working size when selecting the version. In this way, the cutting function matches the required pouch size and pack design.
When choosing an impulse sealer with cutter, please send us your pouch details and the top edge finish you would like on the sealed pack. At Kollár Pakk, we review the 300 machine together with the film and the packaging work. The right combination helps make sealing and removing excess film a natural part of your daily work.
