Impulse sealer 400 with cutter
Impulse pouch sealer with a cutter that trims off excess film.
Full description
The 400 impulse sealer with cutter offers a solution for manual pouch sealing, with the option of removing the excess film above the seal. It can be used for packing products for which a properly formed heat seal is sufficient and no vacuum process is required. When selecting the machine, we examine the pouch width, the material and the desired top edge finish together. The version with cutter can also help make the appearance of sealed packs uniform.
The full width of the pouch matters
To select the machine, it is worth measuring the full mouth opening of the pouch in a flattened state. Film stretched around the product or containing folds can produce a different width and number of layers at the sealing point than the filled pack first suggests. The full mouth opening must fit the usable sealing surface of the machine. An appropriate material allowance makes it possible to arrange the film before the operation. Agreeing the working size is therefore one of the first steps in machine selection, and it also determines the design of the finished pack.
Cutting above the finished seal
The built-in cutter is used to trim the excess film above the seal. The function gives a practical result if the pouch is placed in the machine in the correct position and the necessary top allowance remains after cutting. The product must leave the sealing and cutting area free. When designing the pack, it is advisable to plan the length of the top section and the customer's opening method together. Collecting the trimmed material separately helps keep the packing station tidy.
Settings for the given packaging material
The sealing time is adjustable by potentiometer, and the machine works with a Teflon-coated sealing wire. The structure and thickness of the film determine which setting produces a proper seam. The specific width of the flat seal must be linked to the chosen machine version. During test sealing, it is worth checking the evenness of the seal along its full width. Particularly at folds and at the edges of the pouch, check that the layers have bonded properly and that the film has not been damaged.
Coordinated steps of manual work
Supporting the filled pouch makes it easier to position the film precisely. The product should not pull the mouth opening out of place, and the operator should have room to smooth the pouch. The condition of the sealing and cutting surfaces must be checked as part of the maintenance routine. It is advisable to link inspection of the finished pack to start-up and to changes of material. Daily capacity is shaped by pack preparation, sealing and subsequent handling together, so the machine is best evaluated as part of the actual workflow.
If you would like to remove the excess film at the top as well as seal the pouch, please send us the size and material of the pouch you use. At Kollár Pakk, we prepare the selection of the 400 impulse sealer with cutter on the basis of this information. The right working size, settings matched to the film and consistent handling together support an even packaging result.
