Zed manual fill-and-wrap packaging machine
Vertical filling and packaging machine
Full description
The Zed manual fill-and-wrap packaging machine offers an adaptable workflow for packing discrete products individually or in groups. Fruit, vegetables, bakery products, confectionery, cheese and suitable non-food products can all be considered when planning the task. One characteristic feature of the machine is the adjustable tilt angle of the packing area. This allows the way the product moves to be matched to its shape and sensitivity, while loading is carried out by the operator.
Adjustable tilt for product movement
The tilt of the packing section is adjustable between 0 and 80 degrees by means of a lever. A smaller tilt gives near-horizontal handling, while a larger angle gives a steeper product path. The setting affects how the product moves and travels after loading, so a trial is particularly important for fragile goods or goods that roll easily. When choosing the right position, the shape and surface of the items and how they are arranged relative to one another must also be taken into account. In this way, the tilt can be matched to the packaging task.
One item or several products in a pack
The Zed can be used for single items and for portions made up of several elements, provided their size and handling suit the machine. Manual loading makes it possible to check the number of items and their arrangement. When packing several products together, it must be examined how they stay together until the pack is formed. A product change should be accompanied by a review of the film, the settings and the operator's movements. The machine can be activated by a pedal or two push buttons, in a working routine adapted to the chosen method of operation.
Size limits and film selection
The machine takes film up to 680 mm wide, the maximum cross-seal length is 400 mm and the specified maximum product height is 150 mm. These limits must be interpreted together with the geometry of the finished pack. The film must provide enough material both around the product and for sealing. We match the properties of the packaging material to the product and to machine sealing. The size check is supplemented by a trial with a real portion, especially for irregularly shaped products.
Output together with manual loading
The specified maximum speed is 30 packs per minute, but actual output is also determined by the product and the loading work. An item that is easy to grip requires a different pace from a portion made up of several elements. When planning the packing station, the preparation of products, the operator's reach distances and the removal of finished packs must also be considered. During the trial, it is advisable to evaluate the entire sequence of operations so that the machine fits the desired working rhythm.
To discuss the Zed packaging machine, please show us the product, the desired number of items per pack and the pack layout. On this basis, at Kollár Pakk we will help you review the machine's suitability, the film selection and the necessary settings. By coordinating manual loading and the adjustable packing section, a workflow based on the characteristics of your product can be created.
