We determine the film width and pack length according to the size and volume of the fill and the space needed for the seals. The core, the reel diameter and the unwinding direction must be matched to the equipment. With printed film, the repeat of the artwork and the cutting sequence of the machine must also be coordinated. During a trial run, checking guidance, pack shape and seals together shows how well the film can be processed.

A packaging method matched to the fill

With dusty or crumbly products, the filling workflow must ensure the sealing band stays clean. With chunky fills, we also take into account the tightness of the pack and the mechanical sensitivity of the product. If a modified atmosphere process is needed, we agree the right structure and the free internal space for it separately.
