Boxer 42 tabletop chamber vacuum machine

The Boxer 42 tabletop chamber vacuum machine can be useful at a packing station where vacuum packing and pouch sealing have to be coordinated for several different products. A 420 mm seal length and a nominal pump capacity of 21 m³/h are combined with a tabletop design. We put together the right machine version based on the shape of the product, the structure of the pouch and the required packaging process.

Positioning the pouch comes first

The open end of the pouch must be laid against the 420 mm seal bar across its full width, free of creases. A version with two seal bars at the front and back is also available; the actual pack layout will show its benefit. Besides the overall dimensions of the product, the film left free for sealing must also be taken into account. Filler plates help set the working level for lower packs. For larger or irregularly shaped goods, it is worth checking loading and lid closing with a sample pack.

Control for different products

From the time control and sensor control options available for the Boxer family, we choose the one that suits the task, and the ten programs can help handle recurring operations. Solid, moist or powdery products behave differently during vacuum packing. For this reason, besides the setting, the filling method and keeping the sealing band clean must also be defined. A simple work instruction can help staff follow the programs assigned to different products. Checking the finished pack is part of approving the setting.

Choosing the right sealing method

Double seal, seal/cut-off, delayed cut-off or wide seal can be agreed depending on the required version. The material and thickness of the film determine which sealing solution is appropriate. A configuration suitable for gas flushing may be necessary if the packaging task requires it; the composition of the gas must be chosen for the product. The soft-air function provides controlled air return. It serves to shape the end of the process, and we examine its applicability together with the goods.

A tidy working environment around the chamber

The stainless steel outer housing and chamber suit regular cleaning, and the transparent lid helps observe the process. The seal bars can be lifted out, and the pump comes with a maintenance program. An inclined insert or a connector for a suitable external container can be chosen separately. With moist products, the right temperature, and with powdery materials, the handling of particles require attention. The machine is best supplied with cleanly prepared pouches, and it is worth designating a set-down area for finished packs separate from loading.
