BP 30 tray sealer

The BP 30 tray sealer offers a compact solution for the tray packaging tasks of smaller businesses. It seals the lidding film to the tray flange and does not trim the film around the tray outline. It is worth considering for work where matching the right tray and film, simple operation and a small footprint are the main selection criteria.

210 × 160 mm sealing area

The machine's sealing area is 210 × 160 mm, and the maximum tray depth it can handle is 100 mm. The tool required for the tray must be matched to its exact size and flange. The external size alone is not enough for selection: the shape and width of the flange and the support of the tray also matter. Single- and double-cavity tool designs can be agreed for the appropriate tray. The number of cavities alone does not mean that any two trays can be sealed at once; this must be checked together with the complete layout.

Quick tool change for product changeovers

In this version of the BP 30, the tool for different trays can be changed in a single move. This is useful if the business uses more than one agreed tray shape. After a tool change, also check how the tray sits and the result of the first seals. It is advisable to store the tools so that they can be identified together with their tray type. This makes it clear to staff which set-up belongs to which product, and the right lidding film can also be selected more easily during changeover.

Lidding film and appearance

The machine does not trim around the tray, so the finish of the film edges on the finished pack must be planned together with the chosen material and working method. The sealable layer of the film must suit the tray material. Peelability, the required seal strength and later use are all part of material selection. For a proper seal, the flange must stay clean and the film must cover the sealing area without creases. With moist, greasy or crumbly products, filling discipline is particularly important, as contamination can impair the continuity of the seal.

Compact machine on the packing table

The machine's external dimensions are 540 × 225 × 280 mm, and it weighs 8 kg. It can be placed on a stable work surface that leaves room for preparing trays and receiving finished packs. Despite the small size, the daily process consists of filling the product, tidying the flange, sealing and checking together. For food, the suitability of the tray and film must be determined together with the product, its temperature and the planned storage. A trial on the material combination used shows the correct sealing setting.
