The transparent front / gold back pillow pouch makes the product visible and highlights its appearance with a gold-coloured background. The two-sided design may be the right choice if you would like to use the look of the contents as part of the pack's branding. Behind the transparent front, the colour and shape of the product can be seen, set off by the gold back. The flat pouch format can be used for smaller pack sizes that do not require resealing.

A gold background for the chosen product

Gold provides a distinctive base, so the final appearance of the pack should be judged with the actual contents. Light and dark products, single-ingredient or multi-ingredient packs create different effects against the same background. In the proportions of the pack, it also matters how much gold surface remains visible around the product. A well-chosen width helps with orderly placement, and the right length provides room for sealing. The display orientation should be determined together with the layout of the counter or shelf, so that the finished pack consistently shows the desired side.

Sizes and fit of the pack

The 72 micron transparent and gold version is available in our range in 180 × 300 mm and 240 × 300 mm sizes. When choosing between the two widths, the volume and shape of the contents provide guidance. The outer size does not directly translate into a specific fill weight: the seals, the sealing area and the arrangement of the product also affect the usable internal space. It is therefore worth confirming the right size with a trial fill. The finished pack can then be assessed in terms of appearance, handling and placement in the outer carton.

Front chosen for the protection requirement

The material of the transparent side can be adapted to the task. Where the need for an aroma barrier is more moderate, mechanical protection and aesthetics can come to the fore, while an aroma barrier structure can also meet other packaging requirements. With a suitable overall design, vacuum packing and modified atmosphere packaging are also possible. This requires the front, the back, the seal and the equipment used to be coordinated. The gold back does not replace the necessary material selection, and the transparent front shows the product but also exposes it to light, which must be considered separately for light-sensitive contents.

Pillow format with well-considered opening

We recommend the pouch for products stored lying flat, in a pack size that does not require a press-to-close closure. The position of the label and the orientation of the product information should be adapted to the shape of the finished pack. A clean area should remain at the top for sealing after filling, and the product should not press against the edges. When planning vacuum packing, the shape that forms after the air is removed must also be checked, because this can also change the ratio of the visible front to the gold background.

We choose this pouch based on the appearance of the product: the contents, the desired packing method and the size together determine the right design. The gold background becomes a deliberate element of the appearance when the material structure and daily packing use are both matched to the same product.
