Transparent front / paper back pillow pouch

The transparent front / paper back pillow pouch shows the product and adds a paper background to it. Together, the two surfaces create packaging in which the appearance of the contents and the tactile effect of brown paper can both come through. We offer this design for smaller pack sizes displayed lying flat. We choose the structure of the front based on the protection required by the product, so the paper look is designed together with the actual packaging task.

Product appeal against a paper background

Through the front of the pack, the colour, shape and texture of the contents can be seen clearly. Meanwhile, the paper back holds the look together, which can be particularly advantageous if the brand is looking for an understated, natural appearance. It is worth viewing the artwork together with the real product: fine-grained contents, flat pieces and larger pieces cover the background differently. The required size is therefore shaped not only by fit but also by the desired surface ratio. The effect of the paper part and the transparent surface in relation to each other can be judged on the filled pouch.

Material structure for the contents

The paper look alone does not tell you what protection the entire pouch provides. The front can be a version that primarily provides mechanical protection, or a suitably chosen aroma barrier version. In the latter case, the pack can also be designed for vacuum packaging or a modified atmosphere process, provided the entire structure and the sealing suit the application. In our consultation, the composition, moisture, aroma and packing condition of the product are therefore essential. We examine the chosen process together with the equipment, so that the external appearance and the technical design serve the same goal.

Pack size without resealing

The pillow pouch is a format without a gusset, intended to be placed lying flat. This version has no press-to-close closure, so the packaging unit should be matched to the intended single use or use within a short time. Room must be provided inside the pouch for the contents, and at the top for a clean seal. If the product contains angular, hard or easily broken parts, we check the size with the actual contents. A sample pack placed in the shipping carton also shows how the edges are loaded and how orderly the arrangement is.

Legible information, visible contents

The pouch can be printed with your own logo and artwork. The paper back and the visible front offer different options for arranging the brand mark, the product name and detailed information. The front should be laid out so that, alongside the print, the buyer can still see the contents clearly. On the back, the base colour of the paper affects legibility, so we adjust the contrast of the lettering accordingly. On both sides, the folds of the filled pack, the position of the seals and the area intended for opening must be taken into account.
