Full description
The silver stand-up press-to-close pouch is a pack that puts the emphasis on protecting the contents and a uniform appearance rather than on showing the product. The silver surface conceals the product, and the pouch design can be chosen according to aroma, moisture and light protection requirements. The stand-up format allows upright display, while the press-to-close zip makes it easier to handle products consumed or used in several portions.
Light protection with an opaque surface
If the contents of the pack need to be protected from light, a design that covers the entire surface is an advantage. The silver pouch can be a good starting point for light-sensitive or strongly aromatic products, but we always match the required protection to the specific composition. Colour alone does not replace defining the material structure. Planning therefore includes agreeing the aroma and moisture barrier requirements, as well as the expected storage and sales conditions.
A size chosen for the fill
The product variants include 120 × 150/30, 155 × 225/30, 190 × 250/50 and 200 × 300/40 mm versions, with a thickness of 72 microns. Besides the width and height, the gusset size also determines the volume the pouch can hold. The planned weight in grams alone is not enough to choose a pouch with certainty: with a loose, chunky or fine granular fill the pack will take a different shape. A trial fill can confirm how the pouch stands on the shelf, the free space at the top and convenient dispensing.
Convenient storage after opening
The press-to-close zip is used to open the pouch and close it again. It is useful for packs from which the consumer uses only one portion at a time. The first seal made above the zip and the zip used later have separate functions, so the position of both must be matched to the packaging plan. Keeping the fill away from the sealing surfaces makes it easier to seal the pouch evenly, and repeated resealing also stays simpler. It is also worth matching the size of the opening to dispensing: different access may be convenient for granular products taken out with a spoon and for larger pieces lifted out by hand. A trial pack shows this easily.
A uniform look across several products
An opaque silver base can be an advantage for a range where the appearance or grain size of the contents varies from product to product, but the brand wants uniform packaging. When placing the product information, it is worth designing text legibility, front-panel emphasis and the proportions of the upright pouch together. The customer relies on the product name, the ingredients and the markings, so clear, easily identifiable labelling is especially important for opaque packaging.
When choosing a silver stand-up press-to-close pouch, we start from the fill weight, the product volume and the required barrier properties. Please let us know what you would like to pack, how you fill and seal the pouch, and the conditions under which it reaches the customer. Our team will help you choose the right pack size and any custom design based on these details.
