Full description

The Falcon 80 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine offers a 760 × 510 × 235 mm working space for packs with a larger surface or a more complex layout. Because of the selectable seal bar configuration, the direction of the open end of the pouch is an essential part of choosing the machine. This model is worth considering for tasks where the size of the product and the arrangement of packs within the chamber both matter.

Several seal bar layouts

The Falcon 80 can be configured with two 560 mm side bars, with two 810 mm bars at the front and back, or with a suitable L-shaped layout. These are alternatives that allow different pouch placements. A longer sealing position does not replace checking that the product fits in the chamber. Besides the filled pouch, space must also be provided for the free band to be sealed. The optimum configuration is worth testing with both the typical and the largest pack, especially if several product families use the same machine.

A deep chamber with a viewing window

The stainless steel outer housing is combined with an aluminium chamber and an aluminium lid with a window. The seal bars are located in the lid, and the silicone counter-bars can be removed for cleaning. Filler plates can be used to adjust the position of lower packs. In the deeper working space, care must be taken that the pouch is not stretched between the product and the seal. The cleaning method must be matched to the stainless steel and aluminium surfaces. A tidy chamber and a sealing surface kept clean are practical prerequisites for a good packaging result.

Control and sealing system

Time control or sensor control and the handling of several programs can be agreed. Double seal, seal/cut-off, wide seal or a Bi-active version chosen for the material can serve different tasks. Gas flushing can be used with a suitable configuration, and soft-air means controlled air return. Choose each function based on the properties of the product and the pouch. When approving a new setting, both the shape of the pack and the seal must be assessed; simply observing the process run is not enough.

Planning the space around the machine

The external dimensions of the unit are 900 × 820 × 1070 mm, and the nominal capacity of its pump is 100 m³/h. It requires a 400 V connection. With larger packs, supporting and safely moving the product is a separate task, so the loading and unloading areas are best designed together with the machine. Besides the pump maintenance program, adequate access is also needed for cleaning and servicing. When examining the daily workflow, it is worth including the labelling or onward handling of the finished pack if these directly follow vacuum packing.

When planning the Falcon 80, we will help you compare the different seal bar layouts with your pouches. Please send us the pack sizes and the typical sequence of product changes. These show which configuration best supports loading and which control or sealing system suits the requirements for the finished pack.

Technical features

General features

  • Floor-standing single- and double-chamber vacuum packaging machines
  • Aluminium vacuum chamber
  • Aluminium lid with glass window
  • Easily removable silicone counter-bars
  • Seal bars mounted in the lid
  • Chamber depth adjustable with filler plates

Packaging functions

  • Vacuum: optimum final vacuum 99.98% (0.2 mbar)
  • Gas flush: the injected gas protects the product from mechanical damage and significantly extends its shelf life
  • Soft-air: controlled ventilation, i.e. slowed evacuation and air return, which prevents soft products from being crushed

Sealing options

  • Double seal: 2 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wires remove moisture and provide double protection
  • Seal/cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire
  • Delayed cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire. The outer round wire can be set to stay heated for longer, so shrink vacuum pouches can also be handled
  • Wide seal: 1 x 8 mm flat sealing wire
  • Bi-active sealing: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.

Control functions

  • Digital control: time control / automatic programming / 10 programs
  • Sensor control: setting the vacuum and gas flush pressure values ensures accurate, consistent packaging quality / automatic programming / 10 programs / extra vacuum time

Other functions

  • The STOP button interrupts the program partially or completely at any time
  • Dedicated vacuum pump maintenance program in the control / operating hours counter / service indicator / standby mode, etc.

Options

  • Special insert for packing liquids
  • Maintenance service kit
  • Special control options for custom configurations
