Map 25 semi-automatic tray sealer
Floor-standing semi-automatic tray sealer with vacuum and gas flush
Full description
The MAP 25 semi-automatic tray sealer offers a solution for tray packaging with vacuum and modified atmosphere. The product is placed in the machine in a preformed tray and sealed with lidding film. A good result requires the tray, the film, the gas mixture and the set process to be coordinated, so we recommend selecting the machine for your specific product.
Touchscreen and 99 programmes
The multifunctional touchscreen PLC control displays the programme parameters and error messages. The option of storing 99 programmes helps you handle different products or packaging set-ups, and a cycle counter is also available. It is worth assigning the exact identification of the tray, the lidding film and the filling method to each programme. This lets the operator follow which setting belongs to a given pack. When introducing a new material or product, the parameters used must be approved by examining the first packs.
Modified atmosphere pack tailored to the product
The machine operates with a vacuum pump of 60 m³/h nominal capacity. Gas flushing after evacuation requires a gas mixture chosen according to the needs of the product and suitable packaging material. The fill level of the tray and the headspace above the product are also part of the process design. Besides checking the seal, examining the atmosphere inside the pack may also be justified. Using modified atmosphere does not in itself provide a general shelf-life promise; the properties, preparation and storage conditions of the food must be evaluated together.
Equipment for daily handling
A photocell and a tray lifter are part of the standard equipment. Photocell film handling requires a suitable print mark and film design, while the lifter helps remove the sealed tray. A liquid and dust filter is available separately. In semi-automatic work, filling and preparing the trays remain key tasks, so it is advisable to plan an organised preparation surface next to the machine. Keeping the tray flange clean and ensuring the film lies correctly are important conditions for a continuous seal with every programme.
Versions and installation requirements
The MAP25.e can be specified as an extended version and the MAP25.ds as a version with a double loading table. The choice of machine version must be matched to the trays and the method of operation. Operation requires a three-phase 400 V electrical connection, suitable compressed air and, for modified atmosphere tasks, a gas supply. The nominal electrical power is 6 kW. Besides the machine location, the installation plan must also take into account the route of filled and sealed trays, access for changing the film and maintenance. We assess the real working pace on the basis of the complete sequence of tasks.
To configure the MAP 25, please send us the tray and product details, the planned lidding film and the purpose of the packaging. We will help you select the machine version, the tool and the necessary accessories. A trial with your own product provides a basis for evaluating the seal, the modified atmosphere process and day-to-day handling.
