Marlin 90 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine

The Marlin 90 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine can be an interesting choice for packing long, relatively low products. The proportions of the 890 × 320 × 100 mm chamber differ from those of machines with a deeper, nearly square working space. We therefore recommend examining this model with particular attention to the length and height of the product and the opening direction of the pouch.

A long working space for specific tasks

The 100 mm height of the chamber is one of the key limits for loading, so the highest point of the product must be checked together with the pouch. The seal bar arrangement can be configured in several ways: two 320 mm side bars or a 940 mm sealing solution at the front can be chosen. Sealing on the long side and a pouch mouth positioned at the ends require different work sequences. The right version is decided by the actual shape of the goods. With a sample pack, loading, the free film band and access to the seal can also be examined.

A stand-alone station on the product's path

The external dimensions of the unit are 1066 × 480 × 970 mm, and the nominal capacity of its pump is 63 m³/h. It requires a 400 V three-phase power supply. Adequate free space must also be left next to the machine for moving long packs. The loading direction should be chosen so that the operator can insert the product while supporting it, without damaging the pouch. The set-down surface for finished goods must be sized to the pack length just like the workbench used for preparation.

Settings for the shape of the pack

Time control or sensor control can be chosen according to the task, and program management can help with recurring items. We match the sealing configuration to the pouch material and the required pouch mouth. With soft-air, the air is returned in a controlled way; gas flushing can be agreed with a suitable configuration. With long products, how the pouch conforms to both ends of the goods deserves particular attention. The result of a correctly set process must therefore be checked on the entire pack, at the bends and at the seal.

Transparent lid and cleanable surfaces

The stainless steel housing and chamber and the acrylic lid provide a clearly visible working space. The removable silicone supports and seal bars help reach the parts designated for cleaning. The working level of the product can be adjusted with filler plates, and the pump has a maintenance program. Along the length of the chamber, care must be taken that no product residue can reach the pouch mouth. Regular checks must include, besides the sealing components, the condition and cleanliness of the lid gasket.
