Polar 52 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine

With its stainless steel housing, flat stainless steel working surface and stainless steel lid, the Polar 52 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine offers a solution for setting up a production packing station. The flat working surface influences both the positioning of packs and the planning of daily cleaning. We recommend configuring the machine based on the size of the goods, the pouch mouth and the required sealing configuration.

A flat working surface for arranging the product

The nominal chamber size is 500 × 520 × 200 mm, and the two side seal bars are 520 mm each. The product must be placed so that the pouch opening reaches the sealing position without obstruction. The seal bars are located in the lid, and the silicone counter-bars can be removed. Filler plates can be used to create the right height and support. In the loading trial, the stable position of the product, the free film band and the closing of the lid must also be checked, especially with irregularly shaped or taller goods.

Material choice in daily cleaning

The stainless steel outer housing, the flat working space and the material of the lid can be uniformly integrated into the plant's cleaning routine. The accessible surface works well if the outside of the pouch and the sealing area also stay clean during preparation. The condition of the sealing components and the gasket must be checked regularly. The pump maintenance program can be used as part of the care routine. When planning the workstation, also provide space for cleaning tools and for tidy placement of removed parts, so that the end-of-shift task remains easy to follow.

Control and sealing for the task

The Polar 52 can be agreed with time control or sensor control and program management. The sealing configuration can be double seal, seal/cut-off, wide seal or a Bi-active system chosen for a suitable pouch. Gas flushing requires a configuration designed for it. Soft-air means controlled air return, and its effect is worth checking on the specific product. We put together the selectable functions according to the requirements for the finished pack; trial sealing shows how well the material and the setting match.

A stand-alone machine at the packing station

The external dimensions of the unit are 700 × 740 × 1100 mm, and the nominal capacity of its pump is 63 m³/h. It requires a 400 V connection. Adapt the space around the machine to the direction in which the product moves and to the opening of the lid. Handling prepared pouches and finished packs may require a separate work surface. The daily rate is shaped by loading, vacuum packing and removal together, so we examine the unit as part of the entire task. A well-defined inspection point helps keep the seal under constant observation.

• Bi-active sealing: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.
