Full description

The Polar 80 floor-standing chamber vacuum machine offers a stainless steel workspace for handling larger packs and different pouch layouts. The flat work surface and the choice of seal bar arrangement allow the machine to be matched to the shape of your product. We recommend examining this model in detail when your packaging task involves several sizes or opening directions.

Sealing direction around the product

For the 760 × 510 × 235 mm chamber, you can choose two 560 mm seal bars at the sides, two 810 mm seal bars at the front and back, or a suitable L-shaped seal arrangement. These options represent different configurations. The position of the open end of the pouch is best planned together with the entire packaging route: the direction the goods face matters during filling, loading and removal of the finished pack. Use both your largest and your most frequent item for the trial, as a layout that suits one may require a different movement for the other.

Stainless steel design, flat workspace

The housing, the flat packaging surface and the lid are made of stainless steel. The seal bars are located in the lid, and the silicone supports are removable. Filler plates help set the working height for packs of different heights. The pouch should not be stretched between the product and the seal, and no creases should form at the sealing point. During cleaning, besides the accessible flat surface, the supports, the gasket and the area around the seal must also be checked. Draw up the care routine according to the nature of the packaged goods.

Selectable operations in one system

Programme management can be added to time-controlled or sensor control, so the settings for recurring packs can be organised. Double seal, seal/cut-off, wide seal and, where the pouch requires it, a bi-active solution can be agreed. Gas flush tasks require the appropriate gas flush version, while soft-air provides controlled air return. For each setting, it is advisable to record the material used and the filling method. The seal and appearance of the finished pack together show whether the selected system suits the product.

Integration into the production workflow

The machine's external dimensions are 900 × 790 × 1100 mm, and the nominal pump capacity is 100 m³/h. A 400 V connection is required for operation. At the packaging station there should be enough room for the open lid and for moving the products. The pump maintenance programme supports operation, while planned servicing requires accessible placement. When working with larger packs, adequately sized preparation and set-down surfaces help ensure that the operator does not have to improvise support next to the machine.

To configure the Polar 80, please send us the size, opening direction and material structure of your pouches. We will help you select the seal arrangement, the control and the necessary options. A trial with your own product allows us to assess the use of the chamber and the movements around the machine at the same time.

Technical features

General features

  • Floor-standing chamber vacuum packaging machine
  • Stainless steel housing
  • Flat stainless steel vacuum chamber
  • Stainless steel lid
  • Easily removable silicone supports
  • Seal bars mounted in the lid
  • Chamber depth adjustable with filler plates

Packaging functions

  • Vacuum: optimum final vacuum 99.99% (0.1 mbar)
  • Gas flush: the injected gas protects the product from mechanical damage and significantly extends its shelf life
  • Soft-air: controlled ventilation, i.e. slowed evacuation and air return, which prevents soft products from being crushed

Sealing options

  • Double seal: 2 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wires remove moisture and provide double protection
  • Seal/cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire
  • Delayed cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire. The outer round wire can be set to stay heated for longer, so shrink vacuum pouches can also be handled
  • Wide seal: 1 x 8 mm flat sealing wire
  • Bi-active seal: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.

Control functions

  • Digital control: time control / automatic programming / 10 programs
  • Sensor control: setting the vacuum and gas flush pressure values ensures accurate, consistent packaging quality / automatic programming / 10 programs / extra vacuum time

Other functions

  • The STOP button interrupts the program partially or completely at any time
  • Dedicated vacuum pump maintenance program in the control / operating hours counter / service indicator / standby mode / etc.

Options

  • Maintenance service kit
  • Special control options for custom configurations
  • Custom machine configurations for special products and/or production environments
