Full description

The Falcon 2-60 floor-standing double-chamber vacuum machine offers a design for coordinating pack preparation and vacuum packing. Alternating use of the two working spaces makes it possible to prepare the next load on one side while the operation is running on the other. The benefit comes from a good work sequence, so the machine is best planned together with the operators' movements.

Two chambers, a planned pouch layout

The chamber size is 450 × 580 × 235 mm. The seal bar configuration can be chosen as two 450 mm bars at the front and back or two 680 mm bars at the sides. The two layouts use the working space differently, so the decision must be based on the direction of the pouch opening and the shape of the product. Filler plates help bring the pack to the right height. During the trial, loading and sealing must be checked in both chambers, as well as how finished packs are removed before the next portion is inserted.

Conditions for alternating operation

During planning, the preparation time of the packs must also be matched to the pump of 63 m³/h nominal capacity. Filled pouches should arrive next to the machine in time, and removing finished goods should not take up the space for the next load. The 1060 × 880 × 1070 mm unit requires a 400 V connection. Design the area around the two working spaces so that the sealing band is similarly accessible to the operator on both sides. The real daily rate is therefore best determined by a working trial.

Aluminium chambers, a cleanable structure

The machine is made with a stainless steel housing, aluminium chambers and aluminium lids with viewing windows. The design of the seal bars located in the lid and of the removable silicone counter-bars must also be taken into account in the cleaning routine. The two working spaces must be kept consistently in the same condition, otherwise different results may appear during alternating use. The pouch mouth must be laid down free of product residue and creases. Choose cleaning tools and agents suited to the aluminium and stainless steel surfaces.

Control and selectable functions

A time control or sensor control design and program management can be agreed. The sealing system can be chosen based on the pouch material, including double seal, seal/cut-off and, where justified, a Bi-active solution. Gas flushing requires a suitable configuration, and soft-air provides controlled air return. The pump maintenance program supports care. It is advisable to assign the use of programs clearly to the contents and to the layout followed in the chamber.

To choose the Falcon 2-60, we will help you assess how loading, vacuum packing and removal relate to each other. Please describe the size of the packs and the roles of the staff working on the task. A trial with your own product will show how the two chambers can be used and which seal bar layout suits your everyday work.

Technical features

General features

  • Floor-standing double-chamber vacuum packaging machine
  • Stainless steel outer housing
  • Aluminium vacuum chamber
  • Aluminium lid with glass window
  • Easily removable silicone counter-bars
  • Seal bars mounted in the lid
  • Chamber depth adjustable with filler plates

Packaging functions

  • Vacuum: optimum final vacuum 99.98% (0.2 mbar)
  • Gas flush: the injected gas protects the product from mechanical damage and significantly extends its shelf life
  • Soft-air: controlled ventilation, i.e. slowed evacuation and air return, which prevents soft products from being crushed

Sealing options

  • Double seal: 2 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wires remove moisture and provide double protection
  • Seal/cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire
  • Delayed cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire. The outer round wire can be set to stay heated for longer, so shrink vacuum pouches can also be handled
  • Wide seal: 1 x 8 mm flat sealing wire
  • Bi-active sealing: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.

Control functions

  • Digital control: time control / automatic programming / 10 programs
  • Sensor control: setting the vacuum and gas flush pressure values ensures accurate, consistent packaging quality / automatic programming / 10 programs / extra vacuum time

Other functions

  • The STOP button interrupts the program partially or completely at any time
  • Dedicated vacuum pump maintenance program in the control / operating hours counter / service indicator / standby mode, etc.

Options

  • Special insert for packing liquids
  • Maintenance service kit
  • Special control options for custom configurations
