Falcon 2-70 floor-standing double-chamber vacuum machine
Seal bar length: 2x550mm – Cycle time: 15–40 s
Full description
We recommend considering the Falcon 2-70 floor-standing double-chamber vacuum machine for tasks where packaging consists of regularly recurring portions. By using the two chambers alternately, preparation and the machine operation can be coordinated. When choosing the right configuration, besides pouch size, the loading rhythm and the onward handling of finished packs are also important.
Two working spaces with the same routine
The sealing configuration provides sealing positions with two bars of 550 mm each at the front and back. The pouches must be arranged so that each opening lies straight on the seal, free of product residue. The number and orientation of packs are best determined with the real contents and then applied consistently in both chambers. Filler plates help create the right working level. In alternating use, it helps if the places for pouches and finished goods are clearly defined for the operator on both sides.
The role of pump capacity in production
The unit works with a pump of 100 m³/h nominal capacity. To assess daily output, however, manual filling, arranging the pouch and removal must also be measured. If the next portion is not prepared, the potential of the double-chamber design cannot be used properly either. The location of the 1260 × 1010 × 1070 mm machine must be planned together with the movement of the lid and staff access. It requires a 400 V connection. Material supply and removal of finished goods are part of planning the packing station.
Surfaces and sealing in an easy-care design
The stainless steel outer housing is combined with aluminium chambers and aluminium lids with viewing windows. The seal bars are located in the lid, and the silicone counter-bars can be removed. During cleaning, both chambers must receive the same attention, and the agent used must suit the material of the surface concerned. The condition of the sealing components and the cleanliness of the pouch mouth together determine the result of the seal. Regular checks help to recognise if one of the working spaces or sealing positions starts to perform differently.
Programming for recurring items
Time control or sensor control can be chosen, and program management helps set up frequently recurring products. The sealing system, the gas flush version and a Bi-active option chosen for the material can be agreed based on the task. Soft-air performs controlled air return at the end of the process. The pump maintenance program helps with regular care of the double-chamber unit. In a program assigned to a product, besides the machine parameters, exact identification of the pouch and the loading layout are also essential, as together they make up the verified packaging procedure.
To plan the Falcon 2-70, please send us the sizes of the products and pouches and describe how preparation and onward handling are done. Based on this, we will help you fit the machine to the work routine of your packing station. During the trial, besides the finished seal, it is worth observing how easy and convenient it is to alternate between the two chambers in the real production environment.
Technical features
General features
- Floor-standing double-chamber vacuum packaging machine
- Stainless steel outer housing
- Aluminium vacuum chamber
- Aluminium lid with glass window
- Easily removable silicone counter-bars
- Seal bars mounted in the lid
- Chamber depth adjustable with filler plates
Packaging functions
- Vacuum: optimum final vacuum 99.98% (0.2 mbar)
- Gas flush: the injected gas protects the product from mechanical damage and significantly extends its shelf life
- Soft-air: controlled ventilation, i.e. slowed evacuation and air return, which prevents soft products from being crushed
Sealing options
- Double seal: 2 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wires remove moisture and provide double protection
- Seal/cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire
- Delayed cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire. The outer round wire can be set to stay heated for longer, so shrink vacuum pouches can also be handled
- Wide seal: 1 x 8 mm flat sealing wire
- Bi-active sealing: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.
Control functions
- Digital control: time control / automatic programming / 10 programs
- Sensor control: setting the vacuum and gas flush pressure values ensures accurate, consistent packaging quality / automatic programming / 10 programs / extra vacuum time
Other functions
- The STOP button interrupts the program partially or completely at any time
- Dedicated vacuum pump maintenance program in the control / operating hours counter / service indicator / standby mode, etc.
Options
- Special insert for packing liquids
- Maintenance service kit
- Special control options for custom configurations
