Midi small-business external-suction vacuum sealer

The Midi small-business external-suction vacuum sealer works with a nominal pump capacity of 20 litres per minute. We recommend it for tasks in smaller businesses where vacuum packaging is needed but the planned quantity is moderate. The pouch remains outside the machine, so support for the product and the work surface in front of the machine must be planned together when making your choice.

The pouch also provides the air path

For pouch packaging, the Midi can only be used with air-channel (embossed) vacuum pouches. When selecting the right material, the product size, the pouch mouth and the allowance needed for sealing all matter. The filled pack must lie stably so that it does not pull the open film edge out of place during evacuation. For longer goods, it is advisable to support the entire pouch. The suitability of the pouch for storage or heat treatment must be determined separately, based on the planned use, not merely on its embossed surface.

Automatic and manual operation

The machine has a stainless steel housing, digital control, an LCD display and sensor-controlled vacuum regulation. Automatic and manual modes can be selected, and sealing is electronically adjustable. Operation includes an automatic cooling and timer system, and air is released via a solenoid valve. It is worth establishing the settings on the given pouch and then checking the finished seal. For the operator, correct film placement and monitoring of the process are as much a part of the work as using the selected mode.

Liquid separator and external filtration

The Midi has a self-lubricating pump, a liquid separator and an external filter designed for liquids and powders. The separator and filter must be cared for according to the operating instructions. The product must be prepared so that no contamination reaches the sealing area and the machine does not deliberately draw in free liquid. With powdery goods, filling and arranging the pouch mouth require particular attention. The purpose of regular checks is to ensure that filtration, evacuation and sealing start in proper condition for the next task as well.

Positioning and use of external containers

The machine measures 515 × 290 × 180 mm and weighs 10 kg. A stable counter must be provided for the machine, together with sufficient preparation and set-down space for the packs. With a suitable lid and a connection that fits the machine, vacuum packing of a bowl, jar or other suitable container can also be arranged. The suitability of the container must be checked in the complete set-up. When planning daily use, please state how long your runs would be and which products you would work with, as the nominal pump figure alone does not describe the workload that can be handled.
