Full description

The Polar 2-95 floor-standing double-chamber vacuum machine can be configured with 1100 × 730 × 280 mm chambers and several seal bar arrangements. For larger packs or complex pouch layouts, the distribution of sealing positions is the key to making use of the chamber. We recommend planning the machine on the basis of the overall product dimensions, the opening direction of the pouches and the loading method.

Option of two or three sealing positions

You can choose two 1100 mm seal bars at the front and back, two 850 mm seal bars at the sides, or three 1100 mm seal bars at the front, centre and back. These are different configurations that suit different pouch layouts. The role of the central sealing position must be examined with the given load; not every product shape allows the same arrangement. The pouch mouth should lie flat across its full width, and there should also be room to remove the packs. A sample layout prepared on the chamber surface helps compare the possible versions.

Machine size and production environment

The machine's external dimensions are 2420 × 1210 × 1130 mm, and its pump has a nominal capacity of 300 m³/h. The 400 V supply must be agreed when the machine location is designated. When designating the location, also plan the delivery into the building, the access route, the lid movement and access to both chambers. Preparing larger products may require a surface of adequate size and load capacity. Removal of finished packs is best organised so that free working space remains on both sides for the next load.

Control for a precisely defined load

A time-controlled or sensor-controlled solution and programme management can be agreed. It is worth assigning the pouch material, the filling method and the seal bar layout to each programme. Double seal, seal/cut-off, wide seal or, for suitable material, a bi-active system can be selected. Gas flush requires a suitable version, while soft-air performs controlled air return. During the trial, the result at every sealing position in use must be checked, especially when packing several separate pouches together.

Stainless steel surfaces in double-chamber operation

The Polar 2-95 has a stainless steel housing, a flat stainless steel work surface and a stainless steel lid. In addition to the seal bars in the lid, the removable silicone supports are also part of the sealing system. Filler plates can be used to set the correct working height. The cleaning routine must cover the entire packaging surface and every sealing position used. The pump maintenance programme supports care. Sufficient access must also be provided around the machine for regular cleaning and inspection of components.

When selecting the Polar 2-95, we will help you decide which seal bar layout suits your packs. Please send us the planned pouch sizes and a description of the operations before and after packaging. During the working trial, we evaluate the layout of the two chambers and the quality of the finished pack together, so the machine configuration can be matched to the real task.

Technical features

General features

  • Floor-standing double-chamber vacuum packaging machine
  • Stainless steel housing
  • Flat stainless steel vacuum chamber
  • Stainless steel lid
  • Easily removable silicone supports
  • Seal bars mounted in the lid
  • Chamber depth adjustable with filler plates

Packaging functions

  • Vacuum: optimum final vacuum 99.99% (0.1 mbar)
  • Gas flush: the injected gas protects the product from mechanical damage and significantly extends its shelf life
  • Soft-air: controlled ventilation, i.e. slowed evacuation and air return, which prevents soft products from being crushed

Sealing options

  • Double seal: 2 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wires remove moisture and provide double protection
  • Seal/cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire
  • Delayed cut-off: 1 x 3.5 mm convex sealing wire + 1 x 1.1 mm diameter round wire. The outer round wire can be set to stay heated for longer, so shrink vacuum pouches can also be handled
  • Wide seal: 1 x 8 mm flat sealing wire
  • Bi-active seal: 1 x 5 mm flat sealing wire both in the vacuum chamber and in the lid. This makes it possible to seal vacuum pouches thicker than 200 µm as well as aluminium triplex pouches.

Control functions

  • Digital control: time control / automatic programming / 10 programs
  • Sensor control: setting the vacuum and gas flush pressure values ensures accurate, consistent packaging quality / automatic programming / 10 programs / extra vacuum time

Other functions

  • The STOP button interrupts the program partially or completely at any time
  • Dedicated vacuum pump maintenance program in the control / operating hours counter / service indicator / standby mode / etc.

Options

  • Maintenance service kit
  • Special control options for custom configurations
  • Custom machine configurations for special products and/or production environments
